Our casement window range is extensive, yet each variant offers high performance, energy efficiency and in the case of the Stormproof version, added weather performance. While the flush casement window provides a clean external finish, while the deeper window frame provides for improved energy efficiency and weathering and is often specified by planning departments in Conservation Areas.
We can also offer a range of hardware and ironmongery, from traditional peg and stay handles to the latest multi-point locking systems. These windows can also incorporate a wide variety of heritage and Georgian bars to suit the most individual of projects and with maintenance, these windows have a life expectancy well in excess of 30 years.
Across the UK hundreds of period buildings have benefitted from our traditional weights and pulleys sliding sash window, which has been fully designed for the specialist needs of Conservation Areas throughout the UK. This window has been designed to eliminate the draughts and rattles so often associated with original sliding sash windows thanks to the incorporation of flip, bubble and brush pile gaskets throughout.
Our sliding sash windows are very highly regarded by consumers, architects and planning officers. It’s one of the key products that have really helped build the Carey & Fox brand. It’s ideal for buildings built either in stone or brick, whether it’s a period building, modern or farm style home. Options include shaped sash horns, traditional staff beads and heritage/Georgian bars, while comb jointed sashes are incorporated for additional strength.
As a bespoke joinery manufacturer, we can also offer other window types including a Yorkshire Slider, along with other tilt and turn windows. As a specialist and bespoke joinery company we are often asked to manufacture products far from the norm, something that we relish.
Over our 30 year history we’ve manufactured circular windows, arched head sliding sash windows, bay and bow windows and even curved bi-folding doors. In several projects we’ve been asked to recreate and replace some particularly individual windows and doors. Our joinery expertise has also taken us into other building material projects that we are able to tackle thanks to our dedicated UK manufacturing base in Yorkshire. At Carey & Fox, we are of course experts in all things timber.
