Timber windows are extremely efficient in regards to energy conservation when compared to PVC-u equivalents.
The natural insulative properties of timber windows means they are much better at keeping a home snug and warm, reducing heating costs during the winter months.
Timber frame manufacturing also uses fewer resources than PVC-u, Aluminium or Steel and is therefore much more economical in terms of energy consumption all this combined with backing from both the World Wildlife Fund and Greenpeace who support the use of timber windows over environmentally compromising PVCu equivalents.
